Registered Counselling Therapist - Candidate with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. Born and raised in Newfoundland, she is a mixed race South Asian, neurodivergent (late diagnosed), cisgender woman who works from a liberation and feminist lens to create a safe space that’s culturally and trauma informed, neuro-affirming, sex positive, body positive, collaborative and flexible for clients to explore their values, strengths and challenges. She is passionate about working with BIPOC, immigrants, refugees, neurodivergent and LGBTQIA2S+ individuals. Harmony offers counselling for adults navigating Neurodivergence, Anxiety, Depression, Racial injustice, and Career counselling. Harmony works from a person-centered, strength-based integrative approach that uses Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic approaches to help individuals process their lived experiences and reconnect with their bodies. Prior to transitioning to the field of Counselling she worked in the field of Communication Delays and Disorders for over 7 years. Harmony holds a Master of Education in Counselling degree from Acadia University, a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics degree, and a Communication Disorders Assistant Post-Graduate Diploma from Georgian College.
